With the Hoya Fusion ONE polarizing filter (C-PL), unwanted light reflections can be minimized.
Polarizing filters are generally used in landscape photography as they can control both polarized light - commonly known as "light reflection" - and contrast
.In combination with digital cameras that use a low-pass filter, polarizing filters can cause off-color or moiré, affecting autofocus and photometry. To avoid this negative effect, CP-L filters were developed, i.e. filters that are capable of converting linear light into circularly polarized light, as they contain a wave plate in their structure.
PL filters do not work if they are simply placed on the lens. As with star filters, PL filters also have a rotatable structure with two filters, which allows the effect to be controlled by rotating the filter frame. The effect ranges from 0 to 100% with a rotation of 0 to 90 degrees, and the filter frame can be rotated from 0 to 360 degrees
.The HOYA Fusion ONE offers 18 coated layers that minimize ghosting and flares. The ultra-soft rotating frame allows for effortless handling. Thanks to its dirt-repellent properties, this filter offers protection against fingerprints and smudges on your lens. It is also water-repellent and easy to clean. The professional optical glass from HOYA guarantees the highest quality. The one-piece and particularly flat HOYA filter frame has a front filter thread for easy use
