Every new product starts at our headquarters in Germany with specification, development including optical design as well as mechanical construction. Key components such as the fiber reticle or electronics are developed and manufactured entirely in Germany. Software and menu navigation (e.g. rangeguide, rangetracker) are also specified and programmed here, taking into account aspects of intuitive user guidance. GPO attaches great importance to a high-quality, modern and ergonomic design as well as to selected materials (e.g. engraved and colored decorative rings or control elements, rubber-armored aluminum eyecups or magnesium bridges of the binoculars with soft-touch coating). Und das ist eine ganze Menge, wenn man bedenkt das man ja längere Zeit beobachten will und das Glas vor die Augen hält. Die Optik ist recht gut und kann mit den meisten besseren echt mithalten. Das Sehfeld auf 1000m ist ein wenig knapp,aber bei 10x nicht unüblich. Die Verarbeitung ist insgesamt ebenfalls gut. Das übliche Zubehör ist dabei, wobei das Geld für die Fernglasbox hätte der Hersteller an anderer Stelle besser verwenden können (liegt die meiste Zeit im Schrank). Der Mitteltrieb...hier entsteht bei mir sofort eine Hassliebe. Er läuft rel. exakt leider viel zu leicht. Was einerseits gut für die Focusierung ist, aber leider einmal eingestellt sich bei der kleinsten Jackenärmel Berührung verstellt (bei mir jedenfalls). Alles in allen..wer ein echt gutes Glas sucht und über das zu hohe Gewicht hinweg sieht...zu einem moderaten Preis...liegt hier richtig !

And that's quite a lot when you consider that you want to observe for a long time and hold the glass in front of your eyes.The optics are quite good and can really keep up with most of the better ones. The field of view at 1000m is a little short, but not unusual at 10x. The workmanship is also good overall. The usual accessories are included, although the manufacturer could have used the money for the binocular box better elsewhere (it spends most of its time in the cupboard). The center drive...here I immediately develop a love-hate relationship. It runs relatively precisely, but unfortunately much too easily. On the one hand, this is good for focusing, but unfortunately, once adjusted, it becomes misaligned at the slightest touch of a jacket sleeve (at least for me).All in all...if you are looking for a really good lens and can overlook the excessive weight...at a moderate price...this is the right choice!
