HASSELBLAD X2D II 100C

The new AF-C mode, Scene Detection and 10-stop 1 stabilization combine to deliver fast, accurate and razor-sharp images - even in challenging conditions. And with Phocus Mobile 2 optimizing your workflow, you can fully immerse yourself in your creative process - let inspiration flow and exceptional images follow naturally.

Focus in an instant

The new AF-C mode 2 offers reliable continuous autofocus that accurately detects and tracks moving subjects. In AF-S mode, 425 PDAF zones spanning the 100-megapixel sensor work with LiDAR for fast, accurate focusing. A new AF illuminator improves autofocus performance in low light and doubles as a self-timer indicator.

AF-C continuous autofocus

For the first time on a Hasselblad, the X2D II 100C features AF-C continuous autofocus 2. Powered by deep learning algorithms, it reliably detects and tracks people, vehicles, cats and dogs in various poses during shooting.

New focus point modes

In addition to the existing "Spot" mode, the X2D II 100C now also offers "Expand Point", "Custom" and "Wide" modes. When inspiration flows, you can master every focus point with ease.

True colors shine in the highlight

Experience the first medium format camera with true, continuous HDR 3. Your detailed HDR images are captured and processed directly in-camera as HDR HEIF or Ultra HDR JPEG 4 - for stunning results that you can view instantly on the touchscreen with a peak brightness of 1400 nits, or edit directly on your iPhone or iPad 5 with Phocus Mobile 2.

HNCS HDR Highlight Images

Building on HNCS, the X2D II 100C's HNCS HDR uses high dynamic range to elevate Hasselblad's signature natural colors to new heights of brilliance. Even in bright light, it prevents overexposure more effectively and reveals more detail. HDR images captured with the X2D II 100C can be viewed directly on the built-in 1400-nit touchscreen or on any HDR-enabled iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android device. If SDR photography is preferred, the mode can be easily switched.

Discover HNCS HDR

The renowned Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) now evolves with high contrast technology in the X2D II 100C, offering end-to-end HNCS HDR for images that capture the world as your eyes truly see it.

Refining Hasselblad tones with HDR

Traditional HDR solutions focus solely on dynamic optimization - brightening shadows and compressing highlights to preserve detail. While this preserves detail, it often reduces contrast and flattens the image, sacrificing the tonal qualities that bring photographs to life.

Hasselblad engineers realized that mastering the reproduction of light required a completely different approach.

To reveal the full potential of HDR, Hasselblad expands the color space from sRGB to the wider P3 color space. The new imaging system offers an increase in dynamic range of 3 stops of exposure for in-camera output, with up to 4 stops of exposure when processing RAW files in Phocus. Combined with a peak brightness of 1400 nits - 75% brighter than its predecessor - it unleashes the full imaging capabilities of the medium format sensor, revealing nuanced detail in highlights that would otherwise be lost.

Through three years of intensive development, engineers have created HNCS HDR - a breakthrough solution that enhances the characteristic natural colors and tones of Hasselblad with the expanded capabilities of the high contrast range, while maintaining the authentic Hasselblad color science that photographers trust - whether shooting in HDR or SDR.

Highlights throughout your workflow

With the X2D II 100C, HNCS HDR brilliance flows through every stage of your workflow - from initial capture to playback and post-processing. The camera generates HDR HEIF or Ultra HDR JPEG files directly for instant viewing on the built-in 1400-nit touchscreen

, and Phocus Mobile 2 carries this capability further. In addition to viewing and editing X2D II 100C HDR images, the app can apply HNCS HDR processing to RAW files from X2D 100C, X1D II 50C, CFV 100C and CFV II 50C. When shared on HDR-enabled platforms, these images display the full brilliance of HNCS HDR, revealing colors and tones with unprecedented fidelity.

100-megapixel CMOS sensor

The X2D II 100C's enhanced 100-megapixel medium format BSI CMOS sensor embodies Hasselblad's commitment to uncompromising image quality. With a 16-bit color depth that delivers approximately 281 trillion colors, it captures the subtle gradations that bring photographs to life. The addition of native ISO 50 sensitivity and 15.3 stops of dynamic range gives photographers precise control - from the deepest shadows to the brightest highlights, every nuance is preserved with exceptional detail.

3.6-inch OLED two-way tilt touchscreen

The 3.6-inch OLED touchscreen delivers vivid HDR images and a peak brightness of up to 1400 nits for lifelike clarity. The flexible screen tilts up 90° and pulls out approximately 43° to avoid blocking the viewfinder

. Composed by design, stable by nature

5-axis, 10-stop stabilization

Stabilization performance is now up to 8 times 6 that of the X2D 100C when capturing distant subjects. The advanced 5-axis IBIS with 10 stops of exposure 1makes it possible to shoot handheld for several seconds 7 and still capture razor-sharp images. Long exposures to capture moving traffic or water are now possible without a tripod

. Behind the innovation

Precision without compromise

The exceptional resolution of the 100 megapixel medium format sensor requires equally exceptional stabilization.

The engineers at Hasselblad have redesigned the entire stabilization system - hardware, structure and algorithms - to give the X2D II 100C 5-axis and 10-stop image stabilization in Body 1, while maintaining the compact form that photographers expect.

Uncompromising calibration standards

Each X2D II 100C undergoes an individual 2-hour calibration following the strictest protocols of Hasselblad. For the X2D II 100C, our engineers have applied Hasselblad's highest internal standards and achieved a control precision of 0.1 pixel by calibrating at pixel level. The system uses high-precision gyroscopes and accelerometers that detect
movements as small as 0.001 degrees. Through extensive field research to analyze camera shake patterns across all age groups, Hasselblad has refined the stabilization algorithms for real-world conditions. An innovative electronic compass even compensates for the earth's rotation* to ensure consistent performance worldwide

*Enabled by Phocus Mobile 2. Consult the user manual for details.

Shape details from capture to edit

Phocus Mobile 2

Edit RAW HDR images on your iPhone or iPad 5 - adjust exposure, reduce noise with Hasselblad Natural Noise Reduction (HNNR) 8 and present them with characteristic natural Hasselblad colors. Even when the camera is switched off, you can start it automatically with the app and transfer images wirelessly - without taking it out or switching it on manually.

Internal 1TB SSD

With 1TB of built-in SSD storage, the X2D II 100C eliminates the worry of running out of space during the creative process... Write speeds of up to 2,370MB/s and read speeds of up to 2,850MB/s ensure the camera keeps up with your creativity. When additional storage is needed, the CFexpress Type B slot is ready and waiting.

Refined appearance

Crafted with an advanced finishing process, the graphite gray matte coating combines exceptional durability with a refined, subtle texture, with black lettering adding the final touch of distinction. A newly optimized internal structure reduces weight by 7.5% 9 compared to the X2D 100C, ensuring effortless handling. At the same time, the redesigned grip provides lasting comfort - even on the longest creative journeys.

Controls

A 5D joystick next to the touchscreen enables quick focus point selection and intuitive navigation through the menu. With two new custom buttons - now eight in total - customizable control is always at your fingertips

. Every lens tells its story
