A new MFL (Manual Focus Lock) switch disables the focus ring and prevents accidental adjustment of the distance setting, for example when shooting the night sky. The dust- and splash-proof construction *1 of the lens and the water- and oil-repellent coating of the front lens allow safe use even under harsh conditions.
