Do I need a mount?

If the photo is a valuable one, the use of a mount makes perfect sense. For pastel or pencil drawings, it is also worth buying one. The cardboard frame means that the glass does not lie directly on the photo, which is thus protected. When you take the photo out of the frame to clean it, you have cleaned the glass and dried it thoroughly, the passepartout is inserted first. There are special adhesives to fix the passe-partout so that it does not slip.
