Good wearing comfort, poor hold
The Rotaball-One is a good harness for carrying heavier camera equipment. In this respect, it does a very good job. However, the weak point is the "Rotaball Blokker 2", which is part of the system. It is supposed to prevent the strap from loosening and it didn't work for me. I had bought the strap to carry a Tamron 150-500mm on a Nikon Z 50II, attached to the lens. Unfortunately, the strap detached from the lens several times. Twice the equipment fell off. Fortunately, nothing was damaged. The material of the Blokker is too soft and the "nose" is too short. As a result, it bends away instead of providing support. Overall, I think the Blokker is a faulty design.It is certainly possible to constantly check the harness and notice and prevent it from coming loose at an early stage. But that's not the point. I want to attach the belt, walk around with it and always be able to rely on it holding. And it can't do that. That's why I can't recommend it.
Gutes Tragegefühl, schlechter Halt
Der Rotaball-One ist ein guter Gurt, um eine schwerere Kameraausrüstung zu tragen. In dieser Beziehung macht er einen sehr guten Job. Der Schwachpunkt ist jedoch der "Rotaball Blokker 2", der Teil des Systems ist. Er soll ein Lösen des Gurtes verhindern und das funktionierte bei mir nicht. Ich hatte den Gurt gekauft, um ein Tamron 150-500mm an einer Nikon Z 50II zu tragen, mit Befestigung am Objektiv. Leider löste sich der Gurt mehrfach vom Objektiv. Zweimal fiel die Ausrüstung dabei herunter. Zum Glück wurde nichts beschädigt. Das Material des Blokker ist zu weich und die "Nase" zu kurz. Dadurch biegt sie sich weg, anstatt Halt zu geben. Insgesamt ist der Blokker aus meiner Sicht eine Fehlkonstruktion.
Sicherlich kann man den Gurt ständig kontrollieren und ein Lösen dabei frühzeitig bemerken und verhindern. Das ist jedoch nicht Sinn der Sache. Ich möchte den Gurt befestigen, damit herumlaufen und mich immer darauf verlassen können, das er hält. Und das kann er eben nicht. Ich kann ihn deshalb nicht empfehlen.
