The high-quality filter from ExpoImaging helps with white balance on digital SLR cameras.
Details
By using special prisms, the ExpoDisc filters achieve an extremely homogeneous light distribution and a transmission of exactly 18%. They are suitable for both subject and light metering, and the improved neutralization of the color temperature - compared to automatic white balance - can already be viewed by the photographer on the camera display. The filters prove to be indispensable not only for subjects or in situations where gray cards are not applicable. They significantly speed up normal workflows in digital photography.
The filter does not have to be screwed in, but is held in place by spring-loaded ball snaps in the filter thread of the lens or can simply be held in front in the case of small lens diameters. Basically, when the lighting situation changes, the photographer makes a reference exposure with an ExpoDisc filter in front of it. With this reference, either all subsequent exposures are set to neutral or used for later batch processing in the image processing program. In this way, all exposures of a lighting situation are color corrected at the same time.
