With all Profoto Softboxes, the diffusers are interchangeable. This allows you to determine and regulate the degree of softness yourself. The diffusers are designed to spread the light softer and more evenly, reducing harsh shadows and creating an attractive, natural look. The diffuser can also be used as an ND filter if, for example, you want to work with an open aperture and long exposure times.

The diffusers range from 0.5 f-stops, which produce a slightly softer light, to 1.5 f-stops, which spread light with an effective softness. All diffusers are easy to install and remove, so you can quickly switch between setups.
