Quick access options, secure interior

The chic, minimalist design literally has it all - with the Everyday Backpack series, Peak Design has developed some highly innovative solutions that reliably protect the interior of the backpack while still allowing access to the photo equipment in seconds. There are two ways to do this: Once conventionally via the lid flap, which can be closed with the MagLatch closure system. An excellently thought-out solution for effective protection, which has already proven its worth with the messenger bags. There is a metal locking hook in the flap with a matching anchor bar on the front of the rucksack. Unlike most backpacks, Peak Design has considered different fill levels: there are 4 anchor bars, sturdily riveted, into which the closure hook can be hooked. If the rucksack is fully loaded, simply use the top bar; if it is empty, use a lower one. The flap fastener and hook are also magnetic. This means that the backpack can be reliably closed without the hook engaging

. Side access

The second option also fundamentally distinguishes the Everyday Backpack from other photo backpacks: In addition to the lid flap, there is also a zipper opening on both sides of the backpack. This eliminates the biggest disadvantage of conventional backpacks with top access - you no longer have to rummage through the contents! At the same time, this clever detail increases the backpack's suitability for everyday use enormously: if you are not only carrying your photo equipment, but also everyday items or luggage. In the Everyday Backpack, you can individually configure the interior (more on this below) and easily store both separately - and access them independently through the two side openings. You can also pull the backpack in front of your body from the right-hand side to access your camera equipment in the right-hand main compartment, for example, while your everyday items stay safely in the left-hand half of the backpack and don't get in the way. Comfortable, easily adjustable carrying straps help with this. And as the outer shell of the rucksack is also made entirely from 100% recycled, weatherproof nylon, the contents will stay dry even if you're heading to Scotland in the fall.

Adaptable: plenty of space for camera and lenses

The large main compartment is also adaptable: with three individually placeable and foldable Velcro dividers, it adapts entirely to the needs of your photographic equipment and is therefore suitable for any type of camera - from mirrorless system cameras of all sizes to full-frame SLR cameras. What ultimately fits in the backpack naturally depends on the size of the camera and lenses. One possible configuration would be a DSLR camera with an attached lens, three to four interchangeable lenses and a clip-on flash. Larger DSLM cameras such as the various models of the Sony-a7 series or a Fuji X-T3 leave room for additional lenses. You can also stow a lot of accessories. And if you have a small DSLM camera (MFT cameras from Olympus, Fujifilm X-A or E series), you can use the backpack for your equipment and for non-photographic items. Drone pilots also make the perfect choice with the Everyday Backpack 30L, as the backpack offers enough space for a DJI Phantom 4 including remote control and accessories.

Optimum fit and high wearing comfort

A detachable chest strap provides even more wearing comfort if required. The two carrying straps are connected and then hold each other in position. This ensures that the backpack sits perfectly on the body without slipping. The chest strap is hooked into the shoulder straps with aluminum hooks. A length-adjustable hip belt is also available as a separate accessory. This transfers some of the weight of the rucksack to the hip area to further relieve the strain on the back.

Versatile extra compartments

A tablet and laptop compartment securely holds devices with a screen size of up to 16 inches. Thanks to two separate sleeves, documents or even a second device can be transported alongside the tablet or laptop. There are also several small compartments in the inner lining - messy batteries, memory cards and cables are a thing of the past with the Everyday Backpack. These compartments either have zippers or are even self-closing thanks to a mini magnet in the inner lining. More luggage than planned? No need to worry! The included cord hook carrying straps give the bag additional carrying capacity: Simply snap the adjustable carrying straps onto the sides. Tripods and other items can be securely attached to the outside and carried along. If you don't use this feature, the straps can be stored in a hidden storage compartment.

The FlexFold dividers - clever folding design for individual adjustment

Almost a Peak Design trademark: unlike other backpacks, the Everydays can be divided and adjusted even more flexibly. The highlight behind it: the FlexFold dividers! The developers at Peak Design have based the concept on Japanese origami techniques. With this innovative design made from two layers of fabric, the one-piece is not only simply foldable, but can also be folded out twice: one layer of the divider can be folded down while the other layer remains unfolded. This gives you a kind of shelf with an intermediate shelf. The divider can support a long lens and at the same time separate two lenses stacked on top of each other - a multitude of storage options. Of course, you can also remove the FlexFold dividers completely - the Everyday Backpack adapts to your everyday needs.

Attachment option for a capture clip on each shoulder strap

Both shoulder straps have an attachment option for a separately available Peak Design capture clip. This ensures that the camera is reliably secured and immediately within reach.

Peak Design also keeps an eye on the little things. The many details include an inside pocket for sunglasses and an AnchorLink clip in the sheath as a secure anchor point for your bunch of keys! There are also loops on the outside for the two cord-hook straps, which, as already mentioned, can be used to securely fasten items that are too bulky for the interior. Such details optimize the rucksack for photographic use and increase its utility value in everyday life.
