Compact, lightweight and high-quality housing design with excellent usability
Despite the large diameter of the binoculars with 40 mm lenses, they achieve a low weight of approx. 856 g (TS-L 1640) and approx. 853 g (TS-L 2040). The design matches the sophisticated and high-quality mirrorless digital cameras of the "X series". The binoculars are easy to carry together with the camera.
A finely textured, arched pattern on the underside improves one-handed operability with a firm grip. The overall design is smooth with minimal protrusions, making it easy to stow in cases or bags. Both a hand strap and lanyard are included. These accessories allow the user to choose the best option for different situations. The hand strap can be attached to either the left or right side.

30-hour continuous operation and IPX7 waterproofing
Image stabilization can operate continuously for 30 hours with two AAA batteries. In addition, it has a 60-minute auto shut-off function for image stabilization to prevent the batteries from being drained by forgetting to turn it off. The battery compartment is embedded on the right side, creating a smooth, protruding design that does not interfere with handling.
The IPX7 waterproof rating ensures that the binoculars remain watertight even when submerged up to 1 meter underwater for 30 minutes. This enables safe use in a variety of outdoor environments, e.g. by the sea, in rivers or in poor weather conditions.

The TS-L 1640 and TS-L 2040 offer the highest magnification levels in the series with 16x and 20x magnification respectively. These binoculars feature powerful image stabilization and an advanced optical system with ED lenses that enable brighter and clearer observation of distant objects. Despite the large 40 mm objective lenses, they are compact and lightweight. This advantage makes them versatile binoculars suitable for a wide range of activities, such as bird and wildlife watching, sporting events, concerts, seaside leisure activities and outdoor adventures.
