Panasonic Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f/2.8 OIS

The Leica design is characterized by minimal distortion, chromatic aberration, reflections and ghosting. This is ensured by the recognized strict Leica standards in design and production.
The lens consists of 14 elements in 10 groups. An aspherical and an ED element** allow an extremely compact design without compromising on quality and thus bring the advantages of the MicroFourThirds standard to bear particularly effectively. The OIS image stabilizer, which effectively suppresses camera shake when shooting freehand or in poor lighting conditions, is particularly valuable in the macro range.

Focusing takes place via an internal focusing system with three movable lens groups. This guarantees consistently high image quality over all distances from infinity to 0.15 m (1:1), and the lens size does not change. At the same time, focusing is smooth and quiet when taking photos and videos. A switch on the lens allows the focusing range to be limited to 50 cm. With its 45 mm focal length, which corresponds to 90 mm on a 35 mm lens, the LEICA DG MACRO-ELMARIT 2.8/ 45mm Asph./ OIS is also ideal as a lightweight telephoto and classic portrait lens.
When used on a Lumix G system camera, it supports the variable contrast AF system with its functions such as face detection. 7 aperture blades create a uniform circular aperture, which results in a beautiful uniform blurring of subject details outside the depth of field at large apertures. The LEICA DG MACRO-ELMARIT 2.8/ 45mm Asph./ OIS is equipped with a solid metal bayonet and the multi-coating of the lens elements ensures high-contrast image reproduction without reflections or ghost images.
