The B+W ND 0.6 MRC nano MASTER can remain in front of the lens at all times because it is absolutely color-neutral, continues to be of the highest transparency and is extremely low-reflection thanks to the MRC nano coating. The optical signal reaches the image sensor unaffected. No extension factor needs to be taken into account with the extremely clear and highly transparent B+W protective filters.

Protective filters play a particularly important role in digital photography. Greater depth of field due to small sensors increases the influence of front lens contamination on image quality. Particularly with Zoomlenses with lower light intensity, fingerprints, for example, have a significant effect on sharpness. Frequent cleaning of the front lens, however, can not only leave scratch marks, but also transport dirt particles or moisture at the frame edge into the interior of the lens system.
