Modern DSLR or DSLM cameras offer impressive image sharpness. What is an advantage in many situations, however, can become a hindrance, especially when a certain cinematic look is to be achieved. To get this look, so-called haze, blur or even mist filters are available. And what originally comes from film, more and more photographers are discovering as a stylistic device for themselves. For this reason, we have developed our F:X Pro Magnetic Effect Filter Black Mist 1/4 Mark II, which fits perfectly into the series of magnetic round filters.

Depending on the diameter of the lens, the round filter is mounted via the F:X Pro Magnetic Base Ring Mark II

The use of soft filters

With its small black particles in the glass, the F:X Pro Magnetic Effect Filter Black Mist 1/4 Mark II reduces contrast. This makes light sources in particular appear softer, while this effect has little effect on shadow areas. Another effect of the mist filter is that the skin of models is softened. Overall, the image gets a slightly foggy or hazy (English: Mist) coating, making it ideal for atmospheric photography and videography

OPTIONAL EXPANSION OPTIONS

The F:X Pro Magnetic Effect Filter Black Mist 1/4 Mark II can be easily combined with our other magnetic filters of the F:X Pro Magnetic Round Filter Mark II series. Due to its two magnetic sides, it can be easily attached to the magnetic base ring or a magnetic step-up ring and another filter can be attached. In addition, it can be quickly stowed away if it is not needed. For this purpose, the round filter can simply be connected to another filter of the F:X Pro Magnet ic Round Filters Mark II series via the magnets and closed with the optionally available F:X Pro Magnetic End Cap Mark II and F:X Pro Magnetic Front Cap Mark II
