A very good lens for wide landscapes such as river bends
I don't use the 7Artisans 7.5mm as a fisheye, but as an ultra-wide-angle lens for landscapes. It's designed for APS-C, but I use it on mfT with a reduced angle of view. If you keep the horizon in the center of the frame, you get beautiful landscapes without the typical fisheye effect. The horizontal angle of view is then perhaps similar to that of a 6mm rectilinear wide-angle lens, but without that unsightly distortion at the edges. Those who shoot city centers will see it differently—to each their own. My 7.5mm 7 Artisans has four sharp corners; the infinity focus is perfectly adjusted; it’s already good at f/2.8, with optimal performance at f/5.6; and it’s backlit-resistant with minimal lens flare. The official specification for the aperture with 7 blades doesn’t match my lens—it only has five—and I think that’s good; even better would be five perfectly straight blades for clean sun rays at f/8–16. The compact design and mechanical precision are good, and the price is great, of course.
sehr gutes Objektiv für weite Landschaften wie Flussschleifen
Das 7Artisans 7,5mm verwende ich nicht als Fischauge, sondern als UWW für Landschaften. Es ist für APS-C gerechnet, aber ich benutze es auf mfT mit reduziertem Bildwinkel. Wenn man den Horizont in der Bildmitte hält, bekommt man feine Landschaften ohne den bekannten Fischaugeneffekt. Der horizontale Bildwinkel ist dann vielleicht wie ein 6mm rektilineares Weitwinkel, aber ohne diese unsägliche Stretchung der Randpartien. Wer Innenstädte aufnimmt, wird das anders sehen, jeder wie er mag. Mein 7,5mm 7 Artisans hat 4 scharfe Ecken, die Unendlich-Position ist perfekt justiert, Blende 2,8 schon gut, Optimum bei 5,6, gegenlichtfest mit geringen Blendenreflexen. Die offizielle Angabe zur Blende mit 7 Lamellen stimmt bei mir nicht, es sind nur fünf, und das finde ich gut, noch besser wären fünf absolut gerade Lamellen für saubere Sonnenstrahlen bei f8-16. Die Kompaktheit und mechanische Präzision sind gut, der Preis sowieso.
