The LAOWA 15mm f2.0 Zero-D lens for Canon RF has outstanding speed, which makes for beautiful bokehs.
At f/2.0, the LAOWA 15mm f/2 Zero-D is one of the fastest and most distortion-free super wide-angle lenses on the market for the Canon R full-frame cameras. The optical design of the 570g lightweight and 9cm long lens consists of 12 elements in 9 groups, including 2 aspherical elements and 3 extra-low dispersion elements.
The patented optical design successfully minimizes distortion as well as chromatic aberration while delivering excellent optical performance right into the corners of the image. The ultra-wide and fast lenses on the market are typically very large and usually have a dome-like front lens. This is especially problematic for landscape photographers who use filters very often.
Venus Optics also addressed the need and managed to develop the lens with a flat front lens that allows a 72mm filter thread. This allows for the use of normal 72mm screw-in filters. This lens also offers photographers the ability to focus on close objects thanks to the super-short closest focusing distance of 15cm, and to create wide-angle shots with beautiful bokeh thanks to the large f/2.0 aperture.
