are two different types of fisheye lenses, the full-frame fisheye, which illuminates right into the corners, and the circular fisheye, which produces a circular image. With the new LAOWA Fisheye, you can zoom from full-frame to the circular effect. This allows completely new effects to be achieved not only with photos, but also with videos. With a fast aperture of f/2.8, flexible shots of expansive landscapes, cities, astronomical subjects, action sports and 360° panoramas are possible.

The lens offers a versatile dual fisheye effect that can seamlessly switch between two different visual styles. At 8mm, the lens creates a circular fisheye effect with a huge 180° field of view. At 15mm, at the end of the Zoom, it transitions into a rectangular fisheye effect that fills the entire sensor with the characteristic fisheye distortion. Thanks to the Zoom function, it is possible to switch between these effects without changing the lens, which increases flexibility in photo and video applications.

The constant aperture of f/2.8 over the entire 8-15mm Zoom range offers excellent performance even in low light conditions. It ensures an even light output and is ideal for difficult conditions such as astrophotography, indoor photography or evening shoots. The shallow depth of field allows photographers to crop subjects with a pleasing background blur and enhance the dramatic effect of the fisheye in portraits or action shots.
