ED glass and aspherical lenses deliver exceptionally high resolution and very good contrast. In addition, Nikon's image stabilizer system enables clear, sharp images even when shooting hands-free in the super telephoto range. When you're on the move, the lens's Zoom mechanism can be locked in place using a switch.

For DX format, with 16.7x Zoom: Focal length range of 18 to 300 mm (equivalent to 27 to 450 mm for FX format). Covers an extremely wide focal length range from wide angle to super telephoto.
