Whether stills or movies, the outstanding resolving power of this S-series lens delivers images with beautiful bokeh, color, contrast and clarity. {The powerful optical image stabilizer in the lens ensures blur-free shots. The lens speed of 1:4.5 offers many opportunities to work creatively with the available light. The autofocus works very quickly, precisely and particularly quietly. In addition, this super telephoto lens supports the use of Z teleconverters so that the range can be extended to 560 mm or 800 mm.

Thanks to the modern and innovative lens design, the centre of gravity of the lens is closer to the camera body, which makes tracking, panning and stopping down easier. Photographers can hold the lens in a more comfortable position when shooting handheld and move into position more quickly to capture fleeting moments. The controls are fully customizable. The highly effective weather sealing protects both the lens and the transition to the camera.

When you use the Z 9, Synchro-VR combines the image stabilizers in the lens and in the camera and achieves an effectiveness of up to 6.0 stops.²

The Nikon nanocrystal coating supports the optical design by effectively reducing ghosting and flare, even when light enters the lens at an angle. Super ED, ED and SR glass types minimize chromatic aberration from the center of the image to the edges.
