SIRUI ADP125X anamorphic adapter 1.25x
With the SIRUI 1.25x anamorphic adapter, you can widen the exposures of your lenses without loss (cropping) in height and obtain the typical characteristics of a true anamorphic cinema lens, such as backlighting effects and lens effects (flares) and oval bokeh with spherical lenses.
Spherical lens
When using a spherical lens (not aspherical) with the SIRUI 1.25x adapter, you can achieve approx. 16:9 at a ratio of 4:3 and approx. 20:9 at 16:9.
Anamorphic lens
When using an anamorphic lens, the squeeze factor of the lens is multiplied by the squeeze factor of the SIRUI 1.25x adapter. This means that 1.6x becomes 2.0x and 1.33x becomes 1.66x
The adapter can be used on lenses with 67, 72, 77, 82 and 92mm filter threads. It has an 82mm external thread for direct connection to lenses with an 82mm filter thread. The scope of delivery includes three step-down rings 82 -> 67mm / 82 -> 72mm / 82 -> 77mm and one step-up ring 82 -> 92mm.
The adapter itself has an 82mm filter thread at the front.
The SIRUI adapter is equipped with a manual focus. Any autofocus on your lens must be deactivated and set to infinity, then the focus is controlled manually via the adapter. The adapter is equipped with a gear ring for follow focus systems.
Note:
With anamorphic lenses or adapters, the image is squeezed together in width (squeeze). A camera with a de-squeeze function or a monitor with a de-squeeze function is required for viewing.
