With this speed and the 9 aperture blades, people or objects can be perfectly cropped with a fantastically soft bokeh, even in low light conditions. The quiet AF monitor also makes it perfect for filmmakers and bloggers. The lens supports autofocus detection for eyes, animals and cars. The 35mm, converted to full frame, gives a focal length of around 50mm, which is closest to the natural impression of the human eye.
The lens is now even lighter and more compact than its predecessor, making it perfect for travel and has a practical 52mm filter thread.

Inside the sturdy metal housing is an optical design consisting of 10 elements in 7 groups. The close focusing distance of the new version is just 40cm. A practical USB-C interface for firmware updates is located in the back cover.
