Contrary to the highly praised optical properties in the forums, my specimen was not quite as good as I had hoped - the CA's in particular were extremely high and could not be corrected in LrC.The lens is also very dark - aperture 4 corresponds to aperture 5 or even 5.6 in my reference measurement with a Nikon lens there - with identical ISO and exposure time.What I liked: with AF activated on the Z8, the manual focus ring acts as an aperture ring; the AF proved to be accurate and not too slow and worked in every mode.Also great: the firmware update via USB cable is a sensational idea; some manufacturers can take a leaf out of their book here! I personally also like the bokeh.I have heard and read that Viltrox has a wide range of models, so it may well be that I got a "Monday model", which would also explain the discrepancy with the tests/reviews.However, the lens was returned in the end - Foto-Erhardt was very professional and, in my opinion, absolutely unbureaucratic - thank you very much for that.

Entgegen den in den Foren doch sehr hoch gelobten optischen Eigenschaften war mein Exemplar nicht ganz so gut wie erhofft - insbesondere die CA’en waren tw extrem hoch u in LrC nicht korrigierbar.
Das Objektiv ist auch sehr dunkel - Blende 4 entspricht bei meiner Referenzmessung mit einem Nikon-Objektiv dort - bei identischer ISO und Belichtungszeit - Blende 5 oder gar 5.6.
Was mir gefiel: bei - an der Z8 aktiviertem -AF agiert der manuelle Fokus-Ring als Blenden-Ring; der AF erwies sich als treffsicher und nicht all zu langsam und funktionierte in jedem Modus.
Ebenfalls Klasse: der Firmware-Update via USB-Kabel ist eine sensationelle Idee; hier können sich manche Hersteller eine Scheibe abschneiden! Auch das Bokeh gefällt mir persönlich recht gut.
Ich habe gehört u gelesen, dass die Serienstreuung bei Viltrox tw. gross sein soll; dementsprechend kann es also durchaus sein, dass ich ein “Montags-Modell” erwischt habe, was auch die Diskrepanz zu den Tests/Reviews erklären würde.
Das Objektiv ging jedoch schlussendlich zurück - Foto-Erhardt war da sehr professionell und in meinen Augen absolut unbürokratisch - herzlichen Dank hierfür.
