The tripod everyone has been waiting for! After years of development, Peak Design has put all its know-how into the construction of this tripod. The result is a travel tripod with an unprecedented design. The completely redesigned tripod legs and the ball head, which is perfectly integrated into the design, leave barely a centimeter of free space when folded. The cross-section of the tripod is about half that of comparable tripods in this area.

Minimal pack size with optimum working height

Thanks to the ingenious leg design in combination with the integrated ball head, the tripod has a pack size of 39.1 centimetres and a fantastically small diameter of about 7 centimetres. Thanks to the division into five segments, the tripod achieves a practical working height of 152.4 centimetres.

Clamp locks for quick set-up and visual control

The clamp locks used allow all tripod legs to be extended very quickly and fixed simultaneously. The clamp locks also give you a visual check of whether the tripod legs are fixed. When the quick-release fasteners are open, you can pull all segments out of the tripod at the feet at the same time. With just one movement, you can close all the locks on a segment level and fix the legs in place. The tripod feet are made of non-slip rubber and are slightly angled for optimum stability.

Arca-compatible ball head with intuitive handling

The ball head was specially designed for the Travel Tripod and fits seamlessly into the space-saving design of the tripod. The Arca-compatible quick-release coupling has a locking mechanism that can be locked via a rotating ring. When the ring is set to ",Unlock˜, the camera can be inserted into the coupling and the snap lock picks up the tripod plate. The quick coupling can then be locked by turning the ring to ",Lock˜. The camera can be released again by pressing the snap lock. All previous Peak Design camera plates are compatible with the quick coupling. A bubble level on the top of the quick release facilitates horizontal alignment.

Reversible center column with integrated smartphone holder

The center column can be removed to work very close to the ground or to achieve maximum stability. Alternatively, the center column can also be pushed into the tripod in reverse for macro photography, for example. As smartphones are playing an increasingly important role when traveling, Peak Design has designed a smartphone holder for the tripod. The smartphone holder also fits into the seamless design and disappears into the center column. You also have the option of attaching weights to the lower end of the center column, which is fitted with a hook. The increased weight ensures greater stability and reduces susceptibility to wind.

Additional features with separately available accessories

The Travel Tripod can also be used as a small table tripod. When used exclusively as a table tripod, all extensions (except for the outermost segments) can be removed to save weight. Feet are available separately for use as a table tripod. There is also an adapter for using a non-brand tripod head. The adapter allows you to mount a panorama head on the tripod, for example. Spikes as a replacement for the conventional rubberized feet round off the range of additional accessories. With the metal spikes, the tripod stands securely and firmly even on slippery terrain.
