Longer battery life

• Dual battery system: Using two batteries - one in the camera and one in the DMW-BG2 battery grip *1 - doubles the available battery life for longer shooting.
• Hotswappable: The battery in the DMW-BG2 can be changed without having to switch off the camera.
• Simultaneous power supply: In high-power shooting modes *2 the LUMIX S1RII and DMW-BG2 batteries power the camera simultaneously, allowing more dynamic shooting without the need for external adapters or cables

*1 Batteries are not included with the DMW-BG2.
*2 For video and S&Q video when set as MOV/MP4 with a resolution of more than C4K; or ProRes video with a frame rate of 31 fps or more and a resolution of more than C4K. For other settings, the battery of the DMW-BG2 and the battery of the camera body can be used individually and in that order.

Unified controls for portrait and landscape mode

The DMW-BG2 offers the same grip and operability as the camera body. Equipped with a shutter release button, a control dial, an 8-way joystick and much more, it enables intuitive operation even when shooting vertically, just like in the horizontal position.
