Polaroid SX-70 Color Film Paul Giambarba 8x
The SX-70 Polaroid cameras work differently and therefore need their own type of film. The SX-70 film has a lower ASA value, so it needs much more light for good photos. This is also the reason for the dreamy colors and
structures that are so appreciated by artists. For all folding cameras (except the 680/690 SLR models) you need an SX-70 film.
Store refrigerated, photograph warm
Temperature. Store the film in the refrigerator, but never freeze it. It's best to bring it to room temperature before use, about 13-28 °C (55-82 °F). If it's cold, keep your photos warm in a bag close to your body when developing. On a hot day, make sure they stay cool.
Shoot with light
The more light in your shot, the better your photo will be. Instant film loves light, especially natural light. Use the flash for all your indoor shots. We recommend always using flash except in bright sunshine
. Developing in the dark
All photos will initially appear blank. As they are most sensitive during this time, they should not be bent or shaken. Protect them from light during development and turn the image side down. Keep black and white photos protected from light for about 1 minute and color film for about 6 minutes.
Maintaining the camera
There are rollers behind the film door of your camera. As each photo runs over these rollers, you should ensure that they remain clean.
If the rollers are visibly dirty, wipe them carefully with a soft, damp cloth.
