B+W UV Filter MRC Basic 58mm

The B+W UV filter MRC Basic can remain permanently in front of the lens, since it is absolutely color-neutral, continues to be of the highest transparency and is extremely low-reflection due to the MRC coating. The optical signal reaches the image sensor unaffected. With the extremely clear and highly transparent B+W protective filters, no extension factor needs to be taken into account.

Protective filters play a particularly important role in digital photography. Greater depth of field due to small sensors increases the influence of front lens contamination on image quality. Particularly with Zoomlenses with lower light intensity, fingerprints, for example, have a significant effect on sharpness. Frequent cleaning of the front lens, however, can not only leave scratch marks, but also transport dirt particles or moisture at the frame edge into the interior of the lens system.

All B+W filters are manufactured in Germany to the highest standards with minimal tolerances. The basic material of the filter mounts is brass; a guarantee for high stability and durability. The special functional coating with its optimized gliding properties makes it easier to screw the filter in and out.
