The GF20-35mm F4 R WR offers a Zoomrange of 20 to 35 mm (equivalent to 16 to 28 mm KB). This makes the lens an ideal choice for demanding landscape and architectural photography to capture the widest possible subject detail.

The optical construction of the GF20-35mm F4 R WR consists of 14 elements, including numerous special lenses that effectively minimize typical aberrations of short focal lengths and ensure high resolving power across the entire image area. The high-quality Nano GI coating ensures brilliant detail and
color reproduction at any focal length setting. Despite its high imaging performance and constant F4 speed, the GF20-35mmF4 R WR is surprisingly light for an ultra-wide-angle Zoom lens at only 725 grams.

Ultra-wide angle with brilliant image quality

The lens covers the focal length range from 20mm ultra-wide angle to 35mm wide angle (equivalent to 16 to 28mm KB). It thus offers the widest angle of view of any GF lens, enabling detailed shots of sweeping landscapes and architecture.

The lens surfaces are finished with the Nano GI coating developed by FUJIFILM. This high-tech coating changes the refractive index of incident light to prevent reflections and stray light inside, which cause so-called ghost images and aperture spots. The inwardly curved lens surfaces are coated using a special process characterized by a
particularly uniform application and thus a high degree of coating effectiveness.

This ensures superior imaging performance while achieving a compact, lightweight design. The short flange focal length of the mirrorless camera system enables an optical system that allows a perfect balance between light weight, handy dimensions and the best possible image quality.

Although it is an ultra-wide-angle Zoom, the lens weighs only 725 grams and is just 112.5 mm long. The internal zoom mechanism ensures that the body retains its compact dimensions even when Zooming. The 82 mm filter thread also contributes to easy handling: The use of filters in landscape and architectural photography is thus conceivably uncomplicated, even for ultra-wide-angle shots.

Splash-proof and dust-proof

The lens is ideal for use even in bad weather or dusty environments. The barrel is weather-sealed at twelve points to protect against moisture and dust, which also guarantees usability in cold temperatures down to minus 10 degrees. The front lens is coated with a water- and dirt-repellent fluorine coating that is easy to clean.
