Denn auch als Fotoobjektiv weiß es zu überzeugen. Doch der Reihe nach. Das SELP1635G ist extrem kompakt gebaut und wiegt gerade einmal 350 g! Beim Zoomen verändert es nicht seine Größe, die Verschiebung der Linsen findet motorisch im Inneren statt. Und zwar absolut lautlos und seitens Geschwindigkeit adaptiv. Es ist auch gegen Staub- und Feuchtigkeit abgedichtet und verfügt über eine Gummilippe am Bajonett.
In Tests kommt das Objektiv überwiegend sehr gut weg, besonders bei englischsprachigen YouTubern wird es regelrecht als G-Master Killer gehyped. Bei Digitalkamera.de wird es als billig und minderwertig verarbeitet bezeichnet und ein extremer Auflösungsverlust bei der 16er Brennweite attestiert. Also die billige Verarbeitung und Haptik ist absoluter Schwachsinn! Sie ist exakt genauso, wie man es von anderen neueren G- und G-Master Objektiven kennt, da gibt es keinen Unterschied. Lediglich das Gewicht ist geringer, aber genau das ist ja der Clou dieser Linse!
Und nun zu den Abbildungsleistungen. Zugegeben, ich war kompromissbereit. Aber als ich die ersten Testaufnahmen gemacht hatte, war ich extrem positiv überrascht und dachte anfangs sogar, dass es dem Sigma ebenbürtig ist. Wo andere Ultraweitwinkelobjektive im Bereich der Ränder und Ecken oft Pixelmatsch produzieren, wird hier eine durchgängig sehr gute Schärfe erreicht. Beim ganz genauen Hinschauen bemerkt man tatsächlich ein wenig Randabfall bei 16 mm. Aber das ist insgesamt immer noch eine Top-Leistung, die das Objektiv hier bringt. In der 24er Brennweite ist davon praktisch nichts mehr zu sehen und es übertrifft beispielsweise die 24 mm F1,4 G-Master Linse um Welten! Auch die 35 mm Brennweite sehe ich auf dem Niveau erstklassiger Festbrennweiten. Auch das Gegenlichtverhalten ist sehr gut. Flares konnte ich bislang noch nicht ausmachen. Auch CA's werden automatisch direkt in der Kamera bzw. im RAW-Konverter korrigiert, sodass man letztlich bei den Bildergebnissen davon verschont bleibt.
