That is certainly one of the big advantages.The image quality is also very good, the autofocus is very fast and the zoom can also be used well for video thanks to the electric zoom.What irritates me a little: My Sony camera automatically switches to a digital zoom factor of 1.1 when I use the lens. Apparently the image circle is too small to fill the full sensor area without any gaps, otherwise I can't explain this automatic "forced zoom". Of course, this is somehow at the expense of resolution (interpolation?).What irritates me even more: If you change the lens to another one, the digital zoom factor is retained. Of course, you can then switch it off again yourself, or turn the camera off briefly. But in my opinion, the automatically switched on forced zoom should also switch itself off again automatically when the wide-angle lens is no longer connected.

Anscheinend ist der Bildkreis zu klein, um die volle Sensorfläche lückenlos auszufüllen, anders kann ich mir diesen automatischen "Zwangszoom" nicht erklären. Das geht natürlich irgendwie zu Lasten der Auflösung (Interpolation?).
Was mich dann noch mehr irritiert: Wechselt man das Objektiv zu einem anderen, bleibt der digitale Zoomfaktor erhalten. Man kann ihn dann natürlich selber wieder ausschalten, oder man macht die Kamera einmal kurz aus. Aber meiner Meinung nach sollte sich der automatisch eingeschaltete Zwangszoom auch von selber wieder automatisch ausschalten, wenn das Weitwinkel nicht mehr angeschlossen ist.
