The fast Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens offers outstanding optical performance in a compact design.
The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary allows mirrorless camera users to experience the fun of shooting with a maximum aperture of F1.4. Particularly appealing are the beautiful bokeh that can only be achieved with a fast lens and the exceptionally precise optical performance that characterizes a top-class fixed focal length lens.
A fixed focal length lens that, at around 50mm and a speed of F1.4, offers an angle of view similar to that of the human eye. The shallow depth of field at fully open aperture offers photographers ideal conditions for fascinating portraits and still lifes. A smaller aperture with a greater depth of field can be selected for landscape shots or snapshots. Standard lenses offer a wide range of photographic applications and have therefore been part of photographers' basic equipment for decades

Lenses with the designation "DC" offer optimum performance on cameras with APS-C image sensors. Using a DC lens on a camera with a full-frame image sensor inevitably leads to vignetting. For optimum results, the active image field of the sensor must be adapted to the image circle of the lens. Sigma Lenses with the designation "DN" offer optimum performance in conjunction with cameras with a short flange focal length.
Combines compactness and outstanding optical performance
The front lens element is made of special glass that influences the refractive index and color dispersion and also ensures extra performance and compactness of the lens. Two aspherical lens elements ensure excellent image quality and a compact design, creating optimal conditions for using the lens on mirrorless cameras.
The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary uses our proprietary internal focusing technology and lighter lens elements in the focusing lens group allow for an even more compact servomotor. This lens offers the photographer remarkable image stability both when shooting freehand and with the camera on the ground. The materials and parts used enable the construction of a compact and lightweight lens. The excellent optical performance of this unique lens makes it the first choice for photographers looking for equipment that is as light and portable as it is easy to use.
Shallow depth of field leads to wonderful bokeh
Due to the high aperture of F1.4, this lens allows for a shallow depth of field and wonderful bokeh - a first for a standard mirrorless lens.
Fast and smooth AF - Integrated stepping motor for better video recording
The integrated stepping motor enables the lens to autofocus exceptionally quickly and quietly. This function is particularly advantageous for video recordings.
Extra-long lens hood
The lens hood supplied is particularly long. Its anti-reflective coating prevents unwanted light effects. The lens hood has a rubber surface with an anti-slip structure and therefore offers a better grip when taking photos.
