The HXR-NX5R is the ultimate Full HD camcorder. The successor to the HXR-NX5 and HXR-NX3, it offers XAVC S recording, 3G-SDI output and a wireless workflow. With the NX5R, you can get any job done quickly and efficiently. All the while, the advanced 1/2.8" Exmor CMOS system delivers sharp images with clean focus in almost any shooting scenario.

The camcorder's excellent features eliminate the need to purchase expensive accessories. A bright LED video light, a 3G-SDI terminal with Full HD (60/50p) output, and a multiple accessory shoe are offered. The sensor resolves at 2.07 megapixels in 16:9 ratio. Red, blue, and green light are captured by separate image sensors for high resolution, high sensitivity, and wide dynamic range.

The built-in LED video light is particularly bright and can be easily adjusted. The brightness is 200 lux (1 meter) with a beam angle of 30° and a color temperature of 5,500 K. You can provide stress-free livestreams via Ustream, but also stream live on the local network. You can conveniently control various camera functions via remote control.

To extend recording time and achieve flexible workflow, you can use two memory cards. SDHC and SDXC cards as well as Memory Stick PRO Duo (Mark 2) and PRO-HG Duo are compatible. Relay mode automatically switches from one memory card to the other. Simul mode allows you to record to both cards simultaneously, so you can create a permanent backup.
