This camcorder offers several options for different applications, including XAVC, AVCHD, and file-based recording with DV. For XAVC recording, the PXW-X70 uses the MXF file format, which efficiently compresses a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution using the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 HD codec. 4K Upgrade CBKZ-X70FX
The 4K license allows PXW-X70 users to upgrade their camcorder and then operate at four times the resolution. The upgrade (CBKZ-X70FX) enables QFHD recording in 30p, 25p or 24p and is included in this kit.
PXW-X70 users also benefit from a free HD firmware upgrade to version 2.0, which unlocks several features for improved broadcast and editing workflows. Proxy recording makes editing workflows more efficient and simplifies the transfer of content to remote locations. FTP transfer allows proxy recordings - as well as recordings in XAVC and AVCHD formats - to be sent via an Internet connection to an FTP server that serves as remote storage. The integrated WLAN or wired LAN connection via a USB connection cable and a network adapter (optional) makes this function possible. Live streaming directly from the PXW-X70 to remote locations is now also possible.

Even with XLR grip, battery (NP-FV70), lens cover and large eyepiece cup, the PXW-X70 weighs less than 1.4 kg. It offers professional interfaces such as 3G-SDI and HDMI output connectors, as well as a handle with 2 x XLR and a Zoomlever. Other professional features include a manual aperture ring for intuitive control of the Zoom and focus, an ergonomic handle with a large Zoom lever, two slots for SD memory cards for back-ups, simultaneous and relay recording, and a three-stop ND filter.

Auf meinem Sony 4K Fernseher kann der erstellte Film voll überzeugen. Dieser handliche Camcorder wird bei mir nun in erster Linie eingesetzt. Das hervorragende Objektiv u. auch die technischen Vorgaben können auch qualitätsbewusste Filmer absolut zufriedenstellen. In Verbindung mit einem externen Sony-Mikrofon sind einwandfreie Tonaufnahmen auch im Freien möglich, sodass auch der O-Ton nun ohne Störgeräusche zur Anwendung gebracht werden kann. Der Steadyshot ist auch im erweiterten Zoombereich voll anwendbar. Dieser Camcorder besticht sowohl durch die qualitativ hochwertige Verarbeitung als auch durch das handliche Format, sodass in der Konsequenz mein zweiter Proficamcorder HXR-NX100 nun häufig zuhause bleibt.

Filme mit der Kamera seit September 2016. Ich bin begeistert, kompakte Gehäuse, leicht, 2 Slots für Speicherkarten, lichtstarke Bildsensor 1'' und Möglichkeit auf 4K updaten. Mit dazu gekauftem Richtmikrofon ist die Kamera beinahe Perfekt !
