No ink required

With a resolution of 200 dpi, the P1 delivers high-contrast printouts in the characteristic dot matrix look, which gives the images a charming touch of retro. The printer works with thermal paper, which is equipped with a heat-sensitive layer. The images are created through targeted heating - completely without ink or cartridges.

Freely available app

Various print formats can be selected via the dedicated "Funny Print" app - from classic photo strips to different image ratios and text printouts. The Pocket Printer is connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The connection is wireless and operation is intuitive.

Two refill rolls are already included with the P1: a classic paper roll with a length of seven meters for over 50 images and a three-meter-long sticker roll on which the motifs can be immortalized directly as stickers.

How does thermal printing work?

1. Thermosensitive paper: The InstantFUN printer uses special paper that contains a chemical layer that reacts to heat.
2. Heat instead of ink: There are small heating elements in the printer's print head.
3. These heat specific areas of the paper.
4. Black and white image: The heated areas of the paper turn black, while the unheated areas remain white.

The whole process is lightning fast and requires neither ink nor toner - just the thermal paper and the heat. This makes thermal printing clean, simple and environmentally friendly.

Notes on the battery

Maintain battery life

When charging,

• use the original charging cable
• Do not allow the battery to overheat when charging
• Do not charge and use at the same time - switch off the device

• Do not store the device/battery in direct sunlight or in a hot car
• Store at room temperature (not in frost!)
• Do not use the device in extreme temperatures

When not in use for long periods of time,

• charge the battery to approx. 40-60 %
• Store in a cool, dry place away from light
• Check the charge status every 3-6 months and recharge if necessary.

Long-term care

• Use the battery regularly (do not store permanently)
• Visually check for swelling or damage (do not continue to use the battery if it is defective)
