The LEICA DG SUMMILUX F1.7/15mm Asph. enables outstandingly detailed images and offers a shallow depth of field for image composition thanks to an open aperture of F1.7. The lens, certified by LEICA, guarantees excellent image quality while maintaining a compact and lightweight design.

The lens consists of nine lenses in seven groups, including three aspherical elements. The aspherical lenses effectively suppress spherical aberration and distortion while enabling a more compact lens design. The Panasonic Nano Surface Coating minimizes reflections in the entire visible light range (380 to 780nm). It ensures high-contrast images and greatly reduces the occurrence of ghost images and stray light. Seven aperture blades create a beautiful bokeh with a round aperture.

The internal focusing system ensures consistent resolution and contrast throughout the distance range. A stepper motor focuses smoothly and quietly during photo and video shooting. Especially at large apertures with shallow depth of field, the contrast AF system of the LUMIX G system cameras plays out its advantage of greater accuracy compared to classic phase difference AF systems. A fast signal transmission rate of up to 240 fps generates fast responses in current high-speed AF cameras such as the LUMIX GM1.

The LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15mm/F1.7 ASPH. is equipped with an aperture ring and AF/MF switch for direct and intuitive operation. With its high-quality metal body, robust and durable metal bayonet, and lens hood, it harmonizes perfectly with all models in the LUMIX G series.
