The Leica Summilux F1.7/15mm is a compact and fast lens with high-speed autofocus.

The LEICA DG SUMMILUX F1.7/15mm Asph. enables outstandingly detailed images and offers a shallow depth of field for image composition thanks to an open aperture of F1.7. The lens, certified by LEICA, guarantees excellent image quality while maintaining a compact and lightweight design.
The lens consists of nine lenses in seven groups, including three aspherical elements. The aspherical lenses effectively suppress spherical aberration and distortion while enabling a more compact lens design. The Panasonic Nano Surface Coating minimizes reflections in the entire visible light range (380 to 780nm). It ensures high-contrast images and greatly reduces the occurrence of ghost images and stray light. Seven aperture blades create a beautiful bokeh with a round aperture.
The internal focusing system ensures consistent resolution and contrast throughout the distance range. A stepper motor focuses smoothly and quietly during photo and video shooting. Especially at large apertures with shallow depth of field, the contrast AF system of the LUMIX G system cameras plays out its advantage of greater accuracy compared to classic phase difference AF systems. A fast signal transmission rate of up to 240 fps generates fast responses in current high-speed AF cameras such as the LUMIX GM1.
The LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15mm/F1.7 ASPH. is equipped with an aperture ring and AF/MF switch for direct and intuitive operation. With its high-quality metal body, robust and durable metal bayonet, and lens hood, it harmonizes perfectly with all models in the LUMIX G series.

leichtes, lichtstarkes Weitwinkelobjektiv 15mm (30mm KB), das auch bei offener Blende noch eine sehr gute kontrastreiche Wiedergabe zeigt. Mögliche Verzeichnungen werden rechnerisch korrigiert. Das gut verarbeitete Objektiv soll jedoch nicht regenfest sein.

Tolle Abbildungsleistung an meiner GX8, alles hier schon gesagt worden. Auch der Objektivkorpus ist sehr robust verarbeitet. Nur - deshalb ein Punkt Abzug - die schöne Metallsonnenblende leiert im Laufe der Zeit aus, wenn man sie häufig ab- und wieder drauf setzt. Und einmal ausgeleiert, verliert man sie sehr leicht. Und eine Neubeschaffung ist üppig teuer. Hab meine jetzt mit winzigen Streifen Teppich-Klebeband fixiert. Hält - ist aber keineswegs eine Empfehlung wert ;-)
Also: Anschaffung auf jeden Fall, nur häufiges Sonnenblenden-Drauf und -Ab vermeiden.
Habe mir das Objektiv für meine Panasonic GF 7 gekauft.
Durch die kompakte Bauweise ist es eine optimale Ergänzung zum kleinen Kameragehäuse.
Der Weitwinkel entspricht ja 30mm das reicht für viele Aufnahmen aus.
Die Bildqualität ist sehr gut, auch Dank der guten Lichtstärke. Und auch an der Verarbeitung gibt es nix zu meckern.
Wie alle Produkte von Panasonic ist sie klasse.
