The state-of-the-art optical technologies of Sony enable this fast super telephoto lens with large aperture, outstanding resolution right to the edge even at F1.8 and exquisite bokeh, which is a trademark of the G Master series.

The modern optical construction with elements made of XA glass (extremely aspherical), super ED glass (extra-low dispersion) and ED glass in a precision arrangement successfully corrects deviations. Together with this correction, the floating focus system ensures the highest possible resolution over the entire focus range of the lens right up to the edge of the image.

Although this is a 135-millimetre telephoto lens, the floating focus system minimizes deviations at all focus distances. This enables a minimum focus distance of 0.7 meters and a magnification of up to 0.25 times for close-ups. This allows fine details and other subjects to be captured with excellent resolution and aesthetically pleasing soft background bokeh.
