With its quiet and precise autofocus, it is ideal for film and photo shoots. Due to its small size, the lens is equally suitable for APS-C and full-frame cameras.
Compact and lightweight - yet delivers high-resolution and large-format full-frame performance
In addition to the low weight of 280 grams, the dimension of 65.8 mm in diameter and 73 mm in length sets a new standard for compact design in a lens with a large maximum aperture of F1.8.
The new optical design features an extreme aspherical element that prevents aberrations and ensures high resolution throughout the image area. The circular aperture consists of nine blades and provides a beautiful bokeh. The minimum focus distance of 0.22m and maximum magnification of 0.24x allow for close-up shooting as well.
Versatile control and handling for a wide variety of photo situations.
The focus hold button and AF/MF button are optimally placed on the lens for quick switching between autofocus and manual focus. At the same time, the focus ring with linear-response focus adjustment enables precise and rapid manual focusing on the photo subject. The dust- and moisture-resistant design helps make the SEL-35F18F versatile for outdoor use.
