Sony PXW-Z90 XDCAM Camcorder

Stunning image quality is achieved with this 4K professional camcorder from Sony. The PXW-Z90 comes with a multi-layer 1.0" CMOS sensor that effectively resolves at 14.2 megapixels. Beautiful background blur effects (bokeh) are created even in extra dark and extra bright lighting conditions, and optimal light sensitivity ensures high-quality shots without noise. The up to 273 AF points in the sensor cover about 84% of the image area, so subjects are precisely captured throughout the shot.

Hybrid AF has been optimized so you can capture fast-moving subjects with ideal sharpness. The camcorder allows you to record HDR content in HLG, which can then be edited and viewed directly without additional color correction. You can also capture excellent slow-motion footage in Full HD at up to 120 frames per second (5x). You don't have to put up with any viewing angle loss or cropping factor when doing so.

The various resolutions that can be set offer maximum flexibility, so QFHD recording at 100 Mbps with 30p/25p/24p is possible, as well as XAVC HD Long GOP 422 at 50 Mbps, MPEG HD 422 at 50 Mbps, and MPEG HD 420 at 35 Mbps and AVCHD recording. Thanks to WLAN dual-band capability with support for both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequency bands, you can stream your images live and transmit them to other devices. The camcorder can also be controlled by connecting to compatible smartphones and tablets, and with NFC, one-touch authentication is possible if your device supports NFC.

The camcorder can also be connected to the Internet via the wired connection (optional VMC-UAM2 adapter cable and CBK-NA1 network adapter kit required). The built-in wide-angle zoom lens is ideal for shooting panoramas. You can expand the 12x optical Zoom to 18x magnification with Clear Image Zoom, so no detail is hidden from you.

The lens ring lets you adjust the focus and Zoom naturally. In addition to the 0.39" OLED viewfinder, which resolves at 2,359,000 pixels, there is a 3.5" LC display (1,550,000 pixels), so you can accurately capture the subject and view the shots directly in high quality.
