While the lens remains at the heart of photography, the camera itself has a significant influence on your shots - be it direct, subtle or subconscious. The BF's design removes anything superfluous that could distract from the essentials, without compromising on features or performance. With a robust aluminium unibody, reduced controls and a streamlined menu, the BF offers a pristine, effortless photographic experience.

The Sigma BF revolutionizes camera operation with a more intuitive approach. It has been designed to make shooting as simple and effortless as possible. Instead of the classic shooting mode dial - a relic from the era of film photography - it offers direct access to the five essential elements of image composition: shutter speed, aperture, ISO, EV compensation and color mode. These settings are available at any time at the touch of a button. The new status monitor highlights the active setting, allowing an uninterrupted view of the subject.

Simple, clear and all-new user interface

The BF's high-resolution screen provides a clear, distraction-free display of all important information - and nothing beyond. With a simple setting, only the live image is displayed. As soon as you press the shutter button, the five most important elements appear: shutter speed, aperture, ISO value, EV compensation and color mode. All other options and settings are accessible via just three intuitive menu screens.

Haptic operation

The BF's redesigned user interface allows instant and user-friendly adjustments with just three buttons and a dial pad, so you can focus on the scene, not the settings. The BF is designed for exceptional durability. It is the first camera in the world* whose unibody housing is made from a single, solid block of aluminum - a process that takes seven hours. The seamless all-metal body offers an ideal weight and fits perfectly with any lens attached. Its shape, the arrangement of the buttons and the precise front structure guarantee comfortable and secure handling.

Various color modes

Thirteen different color modes are available to open up new avenues for creativity. The modes range from unique options such as Blue Green and Orange, Powder Blue and Warm Gold to creative yet versatile options such as Vivid and Calm.

Advanced autofocus

A hybrid autofocus system that combines image phase detection and contrast detection uses advanced algorithms to capture subjects accurately and reliably. In addition to people, dogs and cats can also be recognized in scene recognition mode.

Video in outstanding quality

Some stories unfold most impressively through moving images. With 6k resolution, advanced HEVC encoding, L-Log support and a frame rate of up to 120 fps, the Sigma BF offers filmmakers a fast and versatile camera that allows them to capture and develop their vision with precision.

Full-frame sensor

The BF's 35mm full-frame sensor delivers impressive detail, outstanding image quality, wide dynamic range and excellent low-light performance. The generous sensor size also ensures a shallower depth of field, making the subject and background stand out clearly from each other, and enables the use of high-quality full-frame lenses.

Internal memory

Instead of the SD card slot, a 230 GB internal memory is now available. This can store more than 14,000 JPEG images, 4,300 lossless compressed RAW files or 2.5 hours of video in the highest quality. In addition, the USB-C port enables fast charging and data transfer speeds.

Equipped with L-Mount

The L-Mount lens mount allows the camera to be used with a variety of interchangeable lenses for mirrorless cameras from Sigma and other partners of the L-Mount Alliance.
