The newly developed 24.1MP full-frame CMOS image sensor, powered by a latest-generation Venus Engine, enables faster readout speeds as well as high frame rate shooting in 4K120p and 5.1K60p

, and with Dynamic Range Boost mode, it achieves up to 15 stops in V-Log at frame rates below 30p. Photo features include up to 70fps high-speed continuous shooting (with pre-burst function of up to 1.5 seconds), for capturing fleeting moments.

The LUMIX S1II also enhances the workflow for diverse content production. The highly regarded Open Gate function now supports formats beyond 6K30p, enabling 5.1K60p, expanding creative possibilities.

Many photographers like to use a low ISO sensitivity to keep image noise as low as possible. Especially in star photography, fast wide-angle lenses are often chosen as they can make efficient use of low light. The 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art was developed as the ultimate wide-angle lens with a large diameter by optimizing the standard technical data for star photography for mirrorless full-frame cameras.

The uniform imaging performance and outstanding resolution right to the edge of the image make it the "definitive lens for astrophotography". This new generation Zoomlarge diameter lens takes advantage of the short flange focal length to combine a compact body with unprecedented high-resolution image quality.

One FLD glass element and five SLD glass elements are arranged to suppress chromatic aberrations to the edge of the image. Three aspherical lenses, including a large-diameter aspherical lens as the front lens, effectively minimize coma etc. to achieve breathtaking resolution. The Super Multi-Layer Coating* is combined with a newly developed NPC (Nano Porous Coating). The lens has been designed to be less susceptible to strong incident light such as backlighting
