The large diameter of the Z bayonet, the constant f/2.8 aperture, and the aperture with nine rounded blades ensure fascinating performance in all lighting conditions. They achieve beautiful star effects and extremely natural-looking bokeh right to the edge of the image circle.

Sharpness is phenomenal - and especially unsurpassed at close range. With its closest focusing distance of just 0.38m across all focal lengths, you have maximum freedom over your image composition - from close-up to infinity.

The Zoom and focus rings provide just the right amount of rotational resistance. Using the adjustment ring, the aperture can be adjusted or exposure compensation can be made with virtually no noise.
