The 11-20 mm F2.8 is a fast Zoom lens that covers a focal length range of ultra-wide angle 11 mm - 20 mm and offers a maximum aperture of F2.8 over the entire focal length range. The 11-20mm F2.8 lens is an excellent ultra wide-angle zoom with a speed of F2.8 for mirrorless APS-C system cameras. Despite its F2.8 aperture, the lens is only 84.2 mm long and weighs just 340 g. Together with a mirrorless system camera, this results in a handy and perfectly balanced unit for photo and video recordings. It can also be ideally used on a lightweight tripod or with a gimbal hand-held stand.
11 mm focal length (equivalent to 16.5 mm in KB format) opens up the possibility of impressive perspectives thanks to a large image section. For spontaneous snapshots, especially in the field of reportage or street photography, a focal length of 20 mm (equivalent to 30 mm in KB format) is recommended.

The 11-20mm F2.8 has a high-quality optical design with twelve elements in ten groups. Two special GM lenses ensure uniform resolution performance across the entire image area. Thanks to the BBAR-G2 anti-reflective coating, ghosting and flare are minimized, ensuring brilliant and detailed results even when shooting against the light. The autofocus system of the lens is based on the RXD stepper motor developed by TAMRON. This stepper motor enables fast and precise focusing, which is ideal for dynamic photos and videos. In AF tracking mode, the focus can be reliably tracked. In addition, the autofocus is extremely quiet, making the lens perfect for indoor shooting, video content creation and situations where a low noise level is required.
Outstanding close-ups at close range
The 11-20mm F2.8 lens offers a minimum distance setting of just 0.15m at 11mm and 0.24m at 20mm focal length. Compared to other ultra wide-angle zoom lenses, this enables better close-ups in the wide-angle range. With a maximum magnification of 1:4 at 11 mm, impressive close-ups with dramatic proportions can be achieved. In addition, the large aperture ensures an attractive sharpness/blur balance and an expressive bokeh effect.
