Panasonic Lumix DC-GH7
Lumix GH7 - A new dimension in creativity
The LUMIX GH7 offers outstanding video performance, a wide dynamic range with the new 25MP BSI CMOS sensor and improved AF performance with PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus). To improve the workflow required in professional productions, the GH7 is newly equipped with internal Apple ProRes RAW *1 recording and the world's first 32-bit float recording *2, eliminating the need to adjust audio recording levels during recording.
In addition to improved image quality, the GH7 offers an optimized workflow from recording to post-production. This is realized through the innovative LUMIX REAL TIME LUT function, proxy recording and Adobe's Frame.io support or open-gate recording for flexible framing for any social media platform.
Image quality
25MP BSI sensor with fast response and 13+ stops of dynamic range
High-speed AF
Phase Detection AF with high-precision detection and tracking
Image stabilization
5-axis Dual I.S. including perspective distortion correction for video and High mode in Active I.S. for powerful compensation when shooting from motion
Professional video
Internal recording of 5.7K 30p ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes RAW HQ *1; Open Gate for flexible framing; Proxy recording & Frame. io ; 4K 120p / FHD max. 300fp, Streaming
Advanced Audio
World's first 32-bit float recording *2 that eliminates the need to adjust audio recording levels during recording (with optional DMW-XLR2)
Comfort
Robust design, flip-swivel monitor, unlimited recording time, REAL TIME LUT
Reliable for video
productions- Unlimited video recording thanks to efficient heat dissipation and integrated fan *4
- Practical monitor without tilt angle that does not collide with HDMI or USB cables when tilted
- Resistant in harsh environments with dust and splash water protection *5, frost resistance down to -10 degrees Celsius
*1 Recording on the SD card is not possible.
*2 For a digital camera with interchangeable lens, as of June 5, 2024, according to Panasonic Research. When used with the XLR Adapter DMW-XLR2 (sold separately)
*3 Dynamic Range Boost is not enabled when recording HFR/VFR videos at 61 frames per second or higher or with SH continuous shooting. Also, Dynamic Range Boost is not activated when the shutter speed is slower than 1/15 when shooting still images, depending on ISO. When shooting video at more than 60 fps (including VFR), the latitude is 12+ f-stops
*4 When shooting at C4K/60p or lower. For resolutions above Cinema4K, VFR/HFR and ProRes, there are temperature limitations. Shooting time depends on the capacity of the battery and memory card
*5 Dust and splash protection does not guarantee that the lens will remain undamaged in direct contact with dust and water
Sigma 56mm 1.4 DC DN MFT
This compact Sigma lens is the smallest medium telephoto lens in its class. Despite its small dimensions, the lightweight 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary is particularly powerful and offers outstanding speed and beautiful bokeh. Distortion and vignetting are corrected in the best possible way and, thanks to the use of an SLD glass element, axial chromatic aberrations, which are difficult to correct in image processing, are efficiently corrected.
Even on APS-C format cameras, which tend to have less pronounced bokeh compared to full-frame systems, effective bokeh and amazing brightness are offered. The lens can be used in a variety of ways, allowing for snapshots as well as portraits and night shots, and
the combination of a stepping motor with the optical setup for AF video recording gives you quiet and smooth autofocus. The camera's Eye AF functions and face detection ensure continuous AF tracking on the face or eye, even if the subject moves during shooting.
