Nikon Z6 III body
The Nikon Z6III sets a new benchmark for mid-range full-frame cameras, offering an exciting upgrade for photographers and videographers who want to improve their skills or unleash their creativity while keeping their equipment compact. At the heart of this camera is the world's first partially stacked full-frame CMOS sensor, developed specifically for the Z6III to ensure the highest performance. This sensor impresses in every respect with outstanding image quality, great dynamic range and high color fidelity
. The partially stacked full-frame CMOS sensor is supported by the same EXPEED 7 processor as the professional models Nikon Z8 and Nikon This powerful duo enables extremely fast AF calculations and high refresh rates of the electronic viewfinder. Photographers benefit from an even, smooth viewfinder image and can shoot up to 120 frames per second without worrying about rolling shutter distortion. Videographers can capture pristine 6K (RAW) and 5.4K (YUV) footage directly from the camera or create detailed 4K UHD video with 6K oversampling directly in-camera. In addition, both photographers and videographers benefit from Nikon's intelligent subject perception, which enables particularly powerful eye tracking in the modes for people and animals. Thanks to the sensor's wide ISO range and AF sensitivity down to -10 EV (3), it is also possible to shoot at night.
66} Z6III has the brightest electronic viewfinder in its class and is the first mirrorless camera with an electronic viewfinder that covers the wide DCI-P3 color gamut (1). Thanks to this next-generation, state-of-the-art electronic viewfinder, even details in shadow areas remain visible. Creatives can create and review their content directly in-camera with confidence, as colors and tonal values are reproduced as desired in the final files.
66} Imaging Cloud (2), a free cloud service, will be available at a later date. This service enables direct firmware updates to the camera, saving images to the cloud and also offers exclusive image profiles.
The high sensor sampling rates enable full pixel readout for clear, detailed images with excellent dynamic range and high color fidelity. The native ISO range extends from 100 to 64,000 (expandable to 50-204,800).
6K RAW video in camera
Internal 6K/60P (RAW) and 5.4K/60P (YUV) recording. 4K UHD/60p videos with oversampling of 6K can be created directly in the camera and footage can be recorded at 240p (10x slow motion).
Professional-quality sound
The camera's external microphone input can be used as a line-level input for professional-quality sound.
Bright electronic viewfinder with extremely wide color gamut
With a refresh rate of 60 fps, the electronic viewfinder with 4,000 cd/m (2) and 5,670,000 pixels displays consistently smooth, high-resolution views. A wide color gamut (DCI-P3) shows true-to-life colors without color fringing
. Up to 120 frames per second with AF/AE and Pre-Release Capture
120 frames per second (10 MP JPEGs in DX format) or 60 frames per second (24 MP JPEGs in full-frame format). The Z6III captures the decisive moment, even if it happened before the shutter was released.
Flagship AF features
Super-fast AF calculations enable consistently reliable tracking that won't let go. Subject perception and autofocus work at up to -10 EV for movies and stills.(3)
Powerful image stabilizer (VR) and focus-area stabilization
8.0 stops (4) of 5-axis image stabilization directly in the camera body and E-VR for video. Focus-area VR stabilizes the area around the active focus area.(5)
High-resolution tilting and rotating monitor
Fully tilting touchscreen with 2,100.000 pixels for a clear, detailed view of the scene from any angle.
Small, light, robust
Weighs only approx. 750 g, is extremely weather and cold resistant down to -10 °C.
Two card slots
One slot for CFexpress type B cards or XQD cards, and one slot for UHS-II SD cards.
Nikon's new MB-N14 multi-function grip can be used as a grip for portrait shooting, or as a counterweight for telephoto lenses, as well as for extended shoots throughout the day.
(1) Among full-frame/FX mirrorless cameras, as of June 17, 2024. Based on research by Nikon.
(2 )The Nikon Imaging Cloud service will be available at a later date. Please check the Nikon website for updates.
(3) AF sensitivity of up to -10 EV. Measured in photo mode at ISO 100 and a temperature of 20 °C with single autofocus (AF-S) and a lens with an aperture of f1.2.
(4) 8.0 stops of image stabilization effect with the NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f4 S telephoto lens. According to CIPA standard.
(5) When using NIKKOR Z lenses without their own VR, the camera's internal (3-axis) focus-area VR is available. When several focus points are displayed, the focus point VR has no effect.

The ZEISS Otus ML lens was developed for photographers who want to tell stories in a unique way. Inspired by the legendary ZEISS Otus family, this lens now brings ZEISS' proven optical excellence to mirrorless cameras. Thanks to the highest technical and mechanical precision, you can capture every detail with exceptional sharpness, vivid colors and an almost three-dimensional effect that brings your story to life. You can rely on your lens in any situation, even in difficult lighting conditions. Capture the moments as you experience them: Authentic and focused on the stories you want to tell.
Outstanding optical performance for the finest details
The ZEISS Otus ML lens offers outstanding optical performance. The aspherical design minimizes distortion and chromatic aberrations. The ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating ensures optimum color fidelity and noticeably reduces unwanted stray light. In challenging lighting conditions, the large aperture of f1.4 ensures maximum light transmission, which opens up unlimited creative possibilities.
Precise manual focus
- The perfect combination of grip, torque and angle of rotation ensures an incomparable tactile experience when focusing
- But above all, this is the only way to meet the high demands of modern camera systems in terms of focus precision.
- This balance, without any mechanical play, puts the ultimate control back in the hands of the photographer, whereby the length of the lens does not change due to the internal focusing.
- Precise scales with unique yellow ZEISS engravings help to make quick and accurate adjustments when it matters
Manual focus
In difficult or low light conditions, autofocus lenses can reach their limits and not get the focus exactly where you want it. Or the depth of field within a selected focus area is so great that the automatic system places the focus plane at the wrong point, contrary to the photographer's expectations - in these cases, manual focus can really come into its own.
For portraits, especially with large apertures (e.g. f/1.4) where the depth of field is very shallow, manual focus allows better control when focusing. Photographers can concentrate on certain elements within a scene for artistic reasons, e.g. to achieve a shallow depth of field or to isolate a subject.
Modern mirrorless cameras have corresponding setting aids. These support the user with manual focusing in the best possible way and, in conjunction with the lens and the set parameters, allow full control over the artistic composition of the image. Thanks to this deliberate reduction to the essentials, manual focus can give photographers the joy of their craft, of creating unique and irretrievable moments.
Reliable - even under difficult conditions
- Blue sealing ring protects the camera-lens interface from dust and moisture
- Special seals to protect against dust and splash water expand the photographer's creative potential by ensuring the functional reliability of the system even in difficult environmental situations
- The Otus ML has a temperature resistance of
-20 °C to -40 °C
- .
- Environmental tested according to DIN ISO 9022 for mechanical, vibration and shock resistance, including drop tests
