Sony Alpha ILCE-7R IIIA
High resolution and light sensitivity improve your images in terms of sharpness, naturalness and detail. Autofocus and tracking performance as well as the continuous shooting mode with up to 10 frames per second have been significantly improved. Professional operability for more efficiency! A lightweight, compact body allows for more flexible use.
With an extremely high-resolution, back-illuminated 43.6 megapixel Exmor R CMOS full-frame sensor, ten frames per second and extra-fast autofocus, the α7R IIIA has a lot to offer over its predecessor. The 399 phase autofocus points cover around 68 percent of the sensor. There are also 425 contrast autofocus points. Even the eye autofocus is now twice as effective as before. The optical 5-axis image stabilizer gives the photographer 5.5 f-stops more leeway. Videographers will enjoy 4K videos with full pixel resolution and no pixel binning, while
professionals will appreciate the two SD card slots, the longer battery life and the superspeed USB connection (USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C). The camera itself is small and compact
Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 Sony E-mount
A small telephoto, ideal for portraits, animals and traveling
The focal length of 85 mm is ideal for subjects that you want to bring closer or emphasize without getting too close to the subject. The picture angle of 28.9° is also particularly suitable for portraits or small groups, as people appear naturally proportioned in this focal length range. Lenses with focal lengths between 80 and 105 millimetres are therefore also known as portrait lenses. The AF 85mm F1.4 also cuts a fine figure as an all-rounder when traveling. A lens like this is predestined for stitching panoramas with very high resolution, and this focal length also provides a good introduction to photographing the night sky, for example parts of the Milky Way. The lens cuts just as good a figure in the zoo as on a photo safari, and you will be rewarded with enviable shots.
Developed for best performance
For the best possible optical performance of the lens, the light flow has been specially optimized based on the ratio of the lens glass to the position of the sensor of the Sony cameras. The high-quality lens has a compact design despite the solid metal housing. Screw-in filters can be attached to the 77 mm thread, opening up further creative possibilities. The fast and precise autofocus is a great help even with moving subjects.
High-quality optics for sharp images
The inner workings of this lens consist of 11 glass elements arranged in 8 groups. This enables a close focusing distance of just 90 cm. 4 high refractive lenses (HR) and one with particularly low dispersion (ED) reduce chromatic aberrations and imaging errors and ensure high imaging performance. This is reflected in sharp images with crisp contrasts and natural colors. The optical design is rounded off with the Samyang's own UMC (Ultra Multi Coating), which prevents reflections and ghost images.
Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
A large number of lens faults such as distortion, edge blur or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a lens calculated for full format on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. This gives you maximum quality. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not required. The angle of view for APS-C is 19.1° (crop factor 1.6).
Compact dimensions
Despite its strong performance features, the lens, which is housed in a sturdy aluminum housing, is small and compact: with a weight of just 568 g, a length of just under 10 cm and a diameter of 8.8 cm, it fits easily into almost any photo bag and does not cause back pain or sweating, even on longer trips or tours. Thanks to Samyang's own Weather-Sealing-Protection, it is immune to light rain or snow showers.
