With an extremely high-resolution, rear-illuminated 43.6 megapixel Exmor R CMOS full-frame sensor, ten frames per second, and extra-fast autofocus, the α7R IIIA is ahead of its predecessor. The 399 phase autofocus points cover about 68 percent of the sensor. In addition, there are 425 contrast autofocus points. Even the eye autofocus is now twice as effective as before. The 5-axis optical image stabilizer gives photographers 5.5 more stops of latitude. Videographers will be pleased with 4K videos with full pixel readout and no pixel binning.

Professionals will appreciate the two SD card slots, longer battery life, and superspeed USB port (USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C). The camera itself is small and compact.

SmallRig 2918 Light Cage

The SmallRig 2918 Light Cage for Sony A7 III A7R III A9 still provides access to the camera's controls and offers a variety of mounting options. In addition to a cold shoe mount and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, this form-fit aluminum cage features multiple ARRI mounts to prevent accessories from twisting when mounted to the cage. The cage also features an anti-twist design with an M2.5 screw attached to the strap hole in addition to the 1/4"-20 camera mounting screw to keep your camera from moving around in the cage. You can use SmallRig Top attach handle 1984 or SmallRig Wood side grip 2093 for handheld shooting and SmallRig cable clamp 3104 to protect the HDMI cable and connector. ARRI-style brackets on the top and side are used to attach the SmallRig ARRI positioning handle 2165 or the SmallRig Ball Head Magic Arm 2115. There is also a screwdriver built into the bottom of the cage for tightening the camera screws.
